in CCNA & CCENT
Ok.. .
Passed: 909 with roughly 25 min to spare..
Material Used: Packet Tracer 4.1 (very very useful since i didn't have an actual router)
Lamale 6th edition (for ccent, read the cisco topics and ref the book)
Techexams documentation
Thoughts..... the test was spread out very well.. not to many of the same questions.. wireless was hardly mentioned... main topics where subnetting!! or questions revolving around knowing your subnets and if an ip address belongs to the subnet.. knowing how to fully config a router with basic settings...how a swtich works.. nothing crazy.. management of swtiches/routers.. passwords.. encrypted / or not.. how to setup interfaces.. knowing your user/priv/global..and interface modes..and last but not least.. knowing how a basic lan to wan to lan network works.. how frames /packets/arp travel across each medium ...
other than that no trick questions.. what i recommend... if you have the equipment or not.. build your network and tear it down with as many configurations you can think of ..kill your configs and rebuild them to burn in the information to your head.... mess up your network and see what or how other routers respond .. test your connectivity between router swtich pc .....
good luck to those who are currently studying.
now on to ICND2

Another Packet Tracer Success Story!!!
Let this be proof that you do not need a full lab to study for the CCENT.
By the way congratulations. -

and yes, i would have to confirm about Packet Tracer... it may not have every single command out there but its enough to pass the exam.. at least for the CCENT/CCNA.... not sure about upper level exams but it can compliment a physical network.
