CCNP or CCVP ?

Hi All,
I'd like to hear from CCVPs. I enjoyed studying CCNA and passed the exam.
I don't know i should continue to study switch and router or study voice.
The reason i thought of CCVP was that there seemed to be lots of job opportunities out there.
Is CCVP quite different from CCNP? Is it fun to study and work?
Any advice will be very helpful.
Thank you so much in advance.

Check out the CCVP FAQ -- it has a Can I go straight from the CCNA to the CCVP without doing the CCNP? section.

Yes -- but so is the CCSP.

Depends on your background (and personalty).

It can be a shock for a data person to try and figure out the voice world -- but if you like scary movies, then you'll probably be okay. icon_lol.gif Check out the Interoperability Guides section of the FAQ -- if you don't faint, then you may have a future in Voice.

As for work -- depends on the environment. If you can get away with blaming all the voice problems on the data network -- and like that kind of thing -- then it can be a "blast." But if you actually like getting things done, then you'd want to avoid those environments -- or have the CCVP and CCNP and smack down "both sides" who like to play that game.

Thank you Mike for helping me decide which path to go.
Since i'm not a big fan of scary movies and don't have phone backgroup,
i should stay where i'm at.
I want to continue to have fun with routers and switches.
Then we'll see if i want to study more about voice after CCNP.
Thanks a lot for your insight.
