Alright, I have reading a bit on the new CCNA security and really want to go for it. I am already preparing for my CCNA, plan to take CCENT soon. Now the question is that do I have to take both 640-822 and 640-816 and earn my CCNA and then go for CCNA security, or could I just pass the CCENT and then go for 640-553 (IINS) and earn my CCNA security. From what I understand, the way it works is that you have to earn your CCNA first and then go for CCNA security. Please confirm if this is correct? or can it be done the other way?

CCNA Security | GSEC |GCFW | GCIH | GCIA

Didn't the price change make taking ICND1 and 2 separately the same price as taking the CCNA? -

Yes it did. You will end up paying $250 total when you're taking the ICND 1 & ICND 2 or just the CCNA 640-802 exam. -
