Free Test Voucher from Prep-Logic??? is this legit?

Hey all, so I purchased a prep-logic book for the 70-290 test and I registered for the test updates so I guess that's how they have my email addy. Anywho, I never get spam from them but for the past week, I've been receiving free voucher offers if I purchase/download a practice test. is this legit? I'd love to get a free voucher for the 70-291.

It seems to be legit, although you have to read the fine print. You don't receive the voucher with your practice test. You have to wait 30 days, then send in a form, then they mail you a gift certificate that covers the cost of the voucher.

Having said that, I took advantage of this offer and if they do not come through with the gift certificate once I fulfill my obligations, I'll just file a claim with my CC company.

Yep. The only thing I've seen people get heated about is that it's only up to a certain amount, so you will have to pay a little for more expensive exams, like CompTIA and now the CCNA composite. Just read the fine print before you decide.

thanks for the tips guys! I guess they give you 1 month to study lol. I'm guessing I'll need about 1 month of hardcore studying to pass "The beast" (70-291).

Yeah, they state it is so you get completely ready for the exam. But it will really be 2 to 2.5 months before you get the voucher. There are 30 days before you submit the form, then they say 4-6 weeks to process it.

My practice exam is for the 70-260, but I will go ahead and buy another voucher to take this one since I'll be ready for it in less than a month, then will use the "free" voucher for my 70-291.

and is the voucher good for any exam? Or just what you purchase? My guess is that since it's a gift certificate of sorts, you could use it for any MS exam.

Excatly. It's like a gift certificate you can use for any MS exam.

I wanted to use it for Secuirty+ until I realized it was only good for $155 instead of the $230ish the exam is. Still may once I go for the exam but it is pretty misleading until you read the fine print.
