    22km according to mapquest

I've made it in 15 min from my house to my desk on very light traffic but rush hour is more like just < 30min. I enjoy driving my car though so I don't mind. =)

Anything closer to work in my price range is probably in a high crime rate area.

    D) 30+ minutes.

Takes right around a hour for me to get to work from my house. it's 120-ish miles round trip.

I live in Pensacola, FL and work in Mobile, AL.

The actual commute doesn't really bother me, but... gas... haha. Let's not go there...

haha. It doesn't really count. Pensacola and Mobile are so close to each other. Besides that, most people doesn't even consider Pensacola part of FL. :p We like to consider it Florabama since it resembles more AL then typical FL.

Florida doesn't really start until you're East of Tallahassee ;)

15 miles from home to work. Depending on traffic 20 - 40 minutes.

Gas supply is about the same as it's always been + gas demand is up a little bit = gas prices are up insane amount!!! Don't remember that being the formula in economics??!!

    D) 55 miles to work for me. It only takes usually 45 mins for me, as I drive fast on the freeway and never hit traffic. I'll hit July 4th or memorial weekend traffic going home as everyone is going up north to there cabins. Guess it depends how bad it snows in the winter time too. With heavy snow fall it can defiantly take 2+ hours to get to work. That's the best time to take a mulligan (vacation day) for me.

Don't worry about it. The only reason I know the difference is because I'm a contractor with the Federal Air Marshal Service at their HQ. And before that, I worked on a DOJ contract were I had to go to federal courthouses across the nation to install servers. The FAMS are nice people and alot of fun.

    10 minutes from the office.

    NY sucks -

I'm about 12 miles, door to door, but it's still 10 minutes walk to train, hour ride on 2 trains, 10 minute walk to the office = 1.5 hours.

Since I work nights every once in a while I drive in, 11PM, no traffic, I'm at work, in midtown Manhattan from Queens, NY in 20 minutes door to door, half that time is spent in Queens on Woodhaven blvd, lights like CRAZY.

I used to be a 10 minute walk from my job when I worked in PA.

PS - Mass transit is great for saving gas, money & the environment, but NYC MTA is so utilized beyond capacity! Sorry, just my rant for the day since I'm working the day shift for this week and I loath nothing more than being stuffed in a train like a cattle for 20 minutes.

I'll have to look it up. The only time I really watch movies is when they first come out. Even then, I don't watch movies that much. This summer, however, has been pretty good.

Starting to stray off topic.... sorry. icon_mrgreen.gif

No matter how bad the traffic is it usually falls in this range. Don't think it has ever taken me more than 20 minutes to get to work or back.

I'm more than an hour away which sux icon_evil.gif but it's a great job that pays well. I'm not thinking of moving because the house I live in is lovely (lots of green). I take the train to work which really benefits me when I study for exams. There is nothing else to do on the train so I get plenty of study time in icon_wink.gif

When I start my new job I will be about 4 minutes away, until I move then I will be about 10 minutes away depending on traffic.
