IT Pro's,

I am creating an IT Knowledge Base User for the company I am working for.

Any advice or suggestions that can help me?

Thanks. :)

Creating a user seems like a lot of work. There's so much to consider. Where are you going to get the DNA? Which offshore laboratory is best suited to your needs? etc.

For the KB, you should start off by creating a list of all the problems and solutions you can think of. Think of the recent issues users have had. What do they usually need help with? After that, go around to users and see if there are any problems that they currently are struggling with, and help them come up with solutions to those.

After you've developed a foundation, you're going to have to continually update it over time as more issues arise. You'll probably accumulate an impressive amount of information before you know it if you stick with it.
