in CCNA & CCENT
hi,
the Sybex 4th edition' Exam Essential list on Virtual LANS says :-
"Remember how to set a trunk port on a 2950 switch."
can i assume that the new CCNA exams will not ask questions on commands from 1900 switch ?
thanks,

Ricka182 Member Posts: 3,359Ciscos' page on the CCNA certification, does not specify either series to know specifically. I would know both if possible. I believe the 19xx is more for CCNA, but you should know the 29xx for CCNP and above.

Miek Member Posts: 47 ■■□□□□□□□□you have to know them both and for a part the commands are the same.
I think the chance will be greater to get some questions about a 29xx switch but to be sure, you have to know them both.
It isn't that much more ...
Good luck studying -

Yes, they're beginning to include 2950 along with 1900. The stories I'm hearing are beginning to scare me, I planned on taking the ccna class this summer.....but maybe I should stick with my MCSA
Meanwhile it's back to flashing these darn 1600sMCSA 2003, MCDST, Security+, Network+, A+
