Are there any other resources for the CCDA/CCDP other than Cisco Press self study books? They're good and all but sort of one-dimensional. They seem to be good enough to pass the exams but they leave me yearning for more. I really enjoy the design aspect of these studies.

Try the Cisco Learning Center CCDA / CCDP sections. I discovered this the day before I sat the test, there's not a great deal but there are a few CBT presentations, games, documents and practice exams.
I suggest for the CCDP you try the ARCH multi-player game it's awsome lol

Other alternatives I used were the BCMSN CBT nuggets and the cisco SRND documents when I wanted a different angle on something.

Another thing that helped me is checking out the pdf & video product data sheets on the Cisco site. This helped me alot as I don't have much hands on with alot of the security stuff mentioned.

Just a few suggestions, hope this helps
