As always, thank you all for your help. I lurk a lot more than I should but am willing to help answer any questions potential test takers might have.

I passed with an 834.

I used:

Sybex
Transcender
ExamCram2

I feel a lot of the practice questions and guides were good BUT nothing can prepare you for the strange working of the Sec+. A lot of times I felt I answered right but at the same was thinking... what were they actually looking for?

Up next... the beast! (70-291).

    Congrats!

    Know DNS and DHCP for the beast. That's probably 1/2 of the test right there. Then throw in some subnetting, WSUS, RRAS. Good luck, it's pretty tough so prepare wisely.

    I felt the same way when I took the test. I could never figure out what they wanted.
    And in conclusion your point was.....???

    Tiger, did you already pass 70-290? I would highly suggest doing that next.

    Once MCSE 2k3 completed:

    WGU: BS in IT, Design/Management

    Finish MCITP:EA, CCNA, PMP by end of 2012

    After that, take a much needed vacation!!!!!
