I have a 360, or rather the missus does. I mainly like RTS and FPS and neither works well on consoles imho - there are some FPS I've played on them and they were fun but the innacuracy and jerkiness of a controller vs. mouse rubs a raw nerve nio matter how good the rest of the game is. Anyway I was thinking of getting a PS3 primarily as a media center. Besides it's native Blu-Ray you can load Linux onto it without any modifications so it'll play pretty much any format you can find app.s for. It's funny how much the roles are reversed in this generation. The Xbox had better hardware, less AAA titles but could be modded to be an excellent media center, the PS2 had more games....Complete turnaround for the current lot.
We responded to the Year 2000 issue with "Y2K" solutions...isn't this the kind of thinking that got us into trouble in the first place?

I have all 3 current-gen consoles (XB360, PS3, Wii) but I use them more for movies than games. I only own about 15 games but close to 60 movies between HD-DVD and Blu-ray. I actually bought the PS3 as a blu-ray player for Casino Royal when it was released, but I knew that I would eventually get Gran Turismo and the next FF game (I bought my first Playstation in order to play FFVII). Now that FF is coming out on 360 and NetFlix is partnering with Xbox I think the 360 will continue to be my primary console.

My only complaints about the 360 are the typical annoyingly loud DVD drive and RROD problems. I am also on my third console, but I upgraded to the Elite when my last Xbox died. I wanted the larger harddrive and HDMI output for the HDMI receiver I will eventually buy - after I take a few more tests and get a new job, of course.

Although I mostly play Xbox, my gf loves the Wii.
