602 vey easy
bradtechonline
Had some of the same questons from 601 on 602.. I got a 860 on the test, missed a customer service question, and some weird question I had no clue about, nor done before so I just guessed.
Had two questions about battery life on laptops.. Which one has the longest charge. Had a lot of networking questions which were very simple, and easy for myself.
Identify different classes of address, and subnet masks.. Know that 127.0.0.1 is loop back.. Know the proper procedure when working inside a monitor which I never did in all honesty.. I just sent them back if they died or acted up.. Aside from electronics class when we actually worked on them.
I had my A+ before taking these new tests.. I passed both the Core, and OS on May 31, 2002, and been working in the field ever since. I updated for college credit. In all honesty after getting done with Essentials, and taking the IT Technican test I don't really see much of a need for both exams. I think the Essentials was enough, and actually harder than this one which wasn't hard at all.
I haven't taken an exam this easy since the I-Net+ which was easy.. I didn't use any study material, just the tech notes on this page to refresh my memory. The actual scope of this test now is easier than the old A+ I think.. No memorization of IRQ,s IO's, Print Process *Cleaning, Conditioning, etc... No Transistor Color Codes etc..
Anyhow I enjoyed reviewing the material, and brushing up on it.. Now when I teach a class on the new A+ I have a better understanding on the material *NOW* that is on the test instead of being stuck back in the Core/OS state of mind. This test is more oriented to real world stuff instead of memorizing from a book.

Sorry for not answering back bro.. Since then I have passed the Project+, CIW Associate, and Security+.
I am now looking into the Certified Ethical Hacker, Sun Certified Java Associate, and the CIW Site Designer exam.
In May I will be starting up my Microsoft exams to update the 2k Pro, and Server exams I got to Server 2008, and Vista. I am a Systems Administrator, and work with some smart guys. We have been turning up a 2K8 Domain and migrating users off Novell/NT into 2K8. Unfortunately about everything is tied into Lotus Notes Databases or Novell. Mainframe Authenication etc.. It's a pain but very challenging and a lot to learn.
