why this exam required a higher score to pass?

    Its all about the benjamins baby.

    Many people that take Sec+ are required, so if they fail they will have to take it again.

    I guess its just the way it is, they could make the questions harder and the pass mark lower but I guess theres only so many ways you can ask about certain things!

    If your certification makes you an expert, then you should be an expert...especially where security is concerned. Also the more advanced security certs will expect you to know the basics well.

    Compared to Cisco exams, it's not that high.
