hy, in the practice question found this, PPTP and LT2P, my question is: VPN for PPTP use a adress like this: VPN.microsoft.com,? and the other method how is?

dynamik Banned Posts: 12,312 ■■■■■■■■■□The address really doesn't have anything to do with either. DNS is just used to resolve a friendly name to an IP address. You can use a DNS name or IP address to connect to either. Those are used to specify where the VPN server is located.
From a client's perspective, you'd basically just select L2TP or PPTP from a drop-down list. The underlying technology, ports, protocols, etc. vary between them though. You may want to hit up Wikipedia or Google to find more details. I'm not sure what level of knowledge you need for the Network+ on this topic. -
