printer not displyed IE 7.0 XP SP3

Hi I tried Google for an answer but can't seem to find what I'm looking for

I have a user who when they try and print from IE they can not see their local Color printer. The network printer shows up fine but not the local USB printer.

has anyone come across a fix for this yet ?

If you go into control panel and printers, is it listed there?

Does the driver exist on the PC already for that printer? If they're not an admin they may not be able to install it on demand. Does it show up for you when you login? (not suggesting you make them an admin by the way

)

Yes the prniter shows up there and works form other apps like photoshop

yes it does the printer works fine except when trying to print anything from IE or outlook

not a a single error

when going to File > Print> only the network printer displays as an option

there is no ability to choose the color printer since it is not listed
