Hello all

Im thinking of using WGU to finish my BS in Info Tech. Anyone from here graduated from or go to WGU or know someone who did?

Just wanted your thoughts on weather or not this is a good school or not?

Also, anyone have an online degree and experence any difficulty in getting work?

I have a chance to go to a local state funded community college and get the same degree, but I don't want to if the WGU degree is just as good.

all things being equal... I would choose a brick n' mortar over an online institution. State tuition will be WAY cheaper than WGU.

That's true for an undergrad degree from a public university. The online universities start to become cost-effective at the grad degree level.

I priced it to my local schools, and WGU seemed way cheaper. I'm very curious as to where are you guys are getting your figures from?

State school tuition is underwritten by your tax dollars. That's why there is resident tuition and out of state tuition rates. State rates can be as much as 25% of private schools.

I did my Master's online vs. I work for a state college.

of course, your milage may vary. Do your research and make an informed decision. Remember, for-profit schools have very effective marketing strategies.
