Where do I get rack parts?

I am thinking of building my own rack, all metal and welded. Specifically I am looking for, and have seen online, the vertical rails that everything bolts into. Anyone know where I can get those? I don't have a preference for square holes or threaded holes. I figure if I can't find them or they are expensive I will just make those too too. Thanks.

On the inexpensive side, you can buy the metal rails at Home Depot and build your own enclosure from 2x4's.

They had them, thanks. But it looks like they cost more money than I am looking to spend. I will probably just make my own out of some steel stock and the drill press. Thanks guys.

Did you look at just the rails? That's all I've bought from them.

That seems reasonable for a 4-pack with all the drilling done. Drilling through steel isn't pleasant.

I didn't know Home Depot sold those. I'll have to check that out.

Oh, I didn't realize it was for a pack of 4 (helps to read huh?). Wish I could get the steel ones unpainted though, guess I'll just sand it off first. Thanks for that again Dynamik!

Yeah, HD has very long brackets with holes spaced 1.75" apart. It surprise me too. I have a cabinet in my garage that I'm thinking of converting into a half-rack. I just picked up two 2514's and two 2924's (for free!!) and I need a place to mount them.

I can highly recommend Skeletek racks, great construction very sturdy and they're modular so you can stack different ones together to make your rack bigger / 20U is only $99
