Passed Security+ Exam Today!!!
Net Tech
I passed the Security+ exam today with a score of 890. I used the CompTIA Security+ Study Guide Delux Edition by Sybex. It covered all of the exam objectives very well. For those who are planning to take the test, do not worry, it is not hard if you study and know the objectives. The following are areas that I saw on my test:
Know the Access Controls: MAC, DAC, RBAC
Know Cryptography: Asymetric, Symmetric, Hash
know about Certificates and Certificate Authority
Know Kerberos
Know the different types of attacks
Know the different types of malicious code
Know the different types of authentication
Know the different types of IDS
Know CIA: confidentiality, Integrity, Availability
That is pretty much all I can remember. As I said if you study and know the exam objectives you should have no problem passing the test.

Good job, that's a nice score. I wish I had the Sybex book when I prepped for the exam. I used a textbook from a community college class though, and it was pretty comprehensive.
