I was just wondering if the term
Route Summarization
and
Auto Summarization
are same thing ?

No they are not. Auto summarization is when the router does it for you and it only summarizes on the class full boundaries. Route Summarization can include auto summarization but it also includes when you make your own summary routes.

Auto summarization is the default form of route summarization. Meaning when used on a classful network all routes will be summarized at the classful network boundry:
10.x.x.x\8
130.x.x.x\16
200.x.x.x\24
Manual summarization allows you not to stick to these strict subnet masks. You can summarize up to the classful subnet mask and anything in between
