Quick explanation of ISA, RADIUS/IAS servers.

Can anyone give me a quick simple run-down of an ISA and RADIUS/IAS server? Or point me to a good link with a description of them. I've looked at a few sites, but for some reason I'm finding it hard to visualize it. Thanks!

Wikipedia has a pretty good explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RADIUS

A RADIUS server is essentially an intermediary between something requesting authorization and something that authenticates. For example, my ASG 120 allows me to authenticate VPN users via RADIUS. It passes the request to the RADIUS server which in turn contacts my DC. They're nice because you can centralize your authentication and accounting on a single server (or smaller number of servers if you're a large organization). I will also be able to use the same RADIUS server when I move my wireless clients over to 802.1x.
