Hey, can anyone point me towards a really good lab manual with example labs (stuff that I can set up and play with on my lab equipment. My mind can only create so many scenarios icon_eek.gif )? Also, I am looking to take the all-in-one test pretty soon, did anyone else find that the time for the test was very limited...(I heard 1.5 minutes per question). Thanks in advance, you guys are great.

I've never read it but you can actually buy the CCNA academy books yourself without being enrolled. Each module has a text book and a lab book. Amazon link.

If you spend more than 2 or 3 min on each multiple choice question then you will not have enough time for the SIM questions. If you have to spend more than 2 min on a multiple choice question then you are not ready to take the exam.

Cool! Thanks for that. I'll have to check those out. Has anyone used those before?

Also, check out www.thebryantadvantage.com His ebook has labs in it.

While I understand that the average time spent on a question is definitely something you want to keep in mind while studying for the exam so you can guage how well you know some material, I would not use that as a rule of thumb whatsoever when taking the test. You will only stress yourself out when you look at a question, think about it, and then proceed to worry about how much time you have spent on it if you are having trouble coming up with an answer. I am not saying spend 10 minutes but you have to keep in mind that while SOME questions will take you say 5 minutes to answer others will take you 10 seconds. I can honestly remember about 5 times during the exam where I read the question, read the answer choices and chose my answer almost instantly. Some problems I would read just the question about 5 times before I even got to the answers because I knew I was missing something or just didn't understand... The thing you need to focus on is getting it right and doing so in a timely fashion. Here are my tips for time management:
    1. You either know the answer or you don't... so if you got a question you have been stuck on debating whether the answer is A or C, its time to guess and move on.
    2. Don't spend time on a question you have NO idea about just because you have no idea... If you have no clue, its not going to somehow magically pop into your head, guess and move on.
    3. Simulators take up a lot of time. Jot down what time you started the question and if you get stuck, figure out how much time has passed before you start worrying. If you got stuck and all of a sudden you just now realized its been 30 minutes since you started... guess what... forget guessing - just HIT NEXT. ;) I honestly would say 15 min max for these and that's only if you think you know your stuff... otherwise you need to hurry the f-up.

Not much to go on but I hope at least that helps you out somehow... good luck.
