I want to distinguish some of the computers by background color,

Can I do this via group policy?

Or is a reg setting?

Meh. Don't put too much faith in me. I meant to say "Kick it up a notch," but something happened between my brain and the keyboard. Apparently colloquial expressions are more difficult than they appear icon_redface.gif

I'm glad that worked out for you. It's definitely made working with multiple VMs a lot easier for me.

And I'll get the beers if you ever make it out to the Twin Cities ;)

I personally like backinfo more than bginfo.

    Configuration settings,

I created a .bat file and set it into the computer startup script, works under admin account but not without admin credentials. Tells me bginfo can't run without admin account?

Not real sure to go from here?

    Well,

it seems to apply correctly at the windows logon screen loads and then boom it disappears.

I believe this is an active desktop issue,

Can someone please clarify the GPO settings for the wallpaper side of things for best practices?
