What do you think of my study strategy
frenchv
Hello,
I'm using the CBT Nuggets videos and I have the ECND1 2nd edition. I'm thinking of a studying strategy that will go off from the CBT Nuggets video and at the same time read chapters in the ECND1 book that are parallel to the videos.
i.e I'm watching the videos about the OSI layers and afterward read the chapter about OSI layers in the book.
So I'm thinking this way I can retain the information and knowledge as I go along.
Good idea?

Seems to work for alot of people. obviously make sure you get a good set of notes down too and plenty of labs. I would recommend real gear - ive learnt alot by doing so and a far better than a sim. but at the minimum use a sim.
Just realise you will probably have to re-read your material at least 2 or 3 times. its not an exam where you can read the book once then take it. Remember to practice subnetting everyday too. subnettingquestions.com is a good resource.

Sounds like a good idea. Kind of what I am doing. I am watching CBT Nuggets and following along with what he does on Packet Tracer. I take notes on all the high points from each video. After I finish with those I will probably ready through the chapters in Sybex that I have some questions with. I would recommend trying to get your hands on some equipment.
