Free or Open source ticketing system

Does anyone have any suggestions to a free/open source ticketing system. I would like to start a project to get one at my job but I know for a fact they wont pay for something like Remedy. Any suggestions....

Check out Web Help Desk (http://www.webhelpdesk.com). It's not free but it is relatively inexpensive when compared to Remedy or others of that nature. We've just started adopting it here and I can see I'm very impressed. Completely web based, ties into our SQL cluster, automatically creates user accounts if needed, allows email generated tickets, very simple-intuitive interface. So far, I'm very impressed with it.

I'll second SpiceWorks. I just recommended it to a friend, and he's running all his ticketing and tracking off it now.
