I have played some WoW from time to time at work. Usually during my lunch hour. I have a company laptop that I take with me so I decided to load a game on it for home use.

I've played flash games before at previous jobs. At my current one I just have a flashdrive with ZSNES and some SNES roms. Playing Legend of Zelda Link to the Past and TMNT Turtles in Time past week.

Give Der Langrisser a try. It has some really good music to it, albeit the tracks are a bit short so they loop often.

wow, I can't believe they actually allow it at a company.

If i have downtime, I'm usually studying or browsing this website. No video games here though.

I never got to personally beat DW4 myself. I really enjoyed the parts I played. I especially liked when you could be a vendor in town.

I was sad to hear they weren't making a game boy advanced SP game of DW4 like they did with DW3.

man, whatever happened to "too busy for games" ?? And if i ever have free time in the office (havent for nearly a year now) I would pick up my S+ book and keep polishing and reading.

Deffinately not allowed at any of our sites...

Looks like my NOC may be an exception to most. We have an XBox here, with a few games but in reality it doesn't get played much. I know the night and weekend guys have brought in their own laptops to play WOW and COD. The day crew plays some turn based games like www.conquerclub.com which we have been hooked on quite a bit in the past. We also roll dice for a few of the daily tasks we need to complete like rotations and stuff. I try to spend most of my free time here and studying.

World of Warcraft took exactly 8 months of play time, that is alot, now I don't even want to play video games anymore, they are like crack, I just wanna see the ladies, and buy my toys icon_cool.gif

But again I can't wait to put my hands on D3 I will just do a solo campaign, no internet.

I use to work at a computer gaming company where playing games was work itself. You get sick of it when you do it for a living. You also start to feel like your work does not contributing anything useful to society--and it really doesn't.

Its neat but totally not practical and not even a new idea. I wouldn't want such a large container of Fluorinert sitting around my house anyway...

It'll be a pain if you ever need to replace a part. Warranty for anything in there is also out the window.

I got my first IT job by playing quake 2 on a geographically local server. I asked the guy I was playing against how his ping was so low (being on dialup myself) His reply was that he was working. I then said i want a job there! so he put in a good word for me and i got the job. I worked at that ISP for 4 years. They didnt care what we did as long as the phones were being answered and properly taken care of. Some watched ****, movies, films, cartoons, anime, some played video games, some studied, some slept at their desk.

The pay sucked but it was the type of job you got excited to get up and goto. Many of us would even come in on days we werent scheduled to work to hang out. We grilled burgers, watched shows/films played texas holdem, had our own counterstrike server. Then we all get on Ultima Online lol.

I moved on to another job which was a global company and very professional. I switced to 3rd shift and they didnt care if i played games or chatted online as long as my work was done. Being 3rd shift they realize you need something to keep you awake and alert. I mostly babysat the NOC.

Current job I have people get fired if they are playing games, hasnt stopped me from occasionally logging into World Of Warcraft when things are dead slow. which is impossible now after all the layoffs going on. The guy next to me watches lost and doesnt seem to care who sees him doing it.

My feelings on it are mixed. I like playing games and everything --but if you have time to play video games at work then probably the company is overstaffed. In todays industry we have to do more with less. I think the exception to playing games is 2nd or 3rd shift where you want someone on the location but dont have much work for them (unless something crashes) I found staying awake past 5am really hard if i didnt keep myself entertained.
