We just dropped $500K on a pair of i570's to replace some older iSeries boxes - and they'll always be AS/400's to me too. It's not your fault IBM likes to rename everything every 5 years - what the heck was wrong with <n>Series anyway. At least IBM didn't rename all the O/S's to follow z/OS - can you imagine AIX as "p/OS" -

The mnemonic devices didn't do much for me. Well, there was one, but I don't think anyone's going to want to hear it. . .
I am the same way. I just know it straight as it is for face value. Makes it easier to break down with direct reference as opposed to having to use the mnemonic or start singing a song like the alphabet. -

Jibbajabba this is good post to understand the OSI Model layers actually no one would be understand the actual functions of each layers probably what does or what are the protocols that has been used? but of course this is good method to memorized the things in either way good or bad (Bad is the best), If you give any tips with function therefore good method to remember the whole thing[2013] CCNA Cert Exam @IBM Premier Campus in Sri Lanka

I just personally like going in that order, but I know that the bottom is L1 and upward. I didn't make this one up, but when I learned this one, the layers just stuck to my head easier.Working on CCENT and nearly almost there. Retake in December and pass, then after that, study for ICND2 and work on CCNA Security and look into Microsoft certifications. No previous IT certs.

Poor Sally, she's living proof as to how misogynistic computing has been.
I learned it as Please Do Not Take Sally's Panties Away.
I don't know when I learned it exactly, but I might have learned it close to 20 years ago when I got my A+. -
