I got hired in july for a helpdesk working as a government contractor and was suppose to work two weeks after my hire date but i keep having issues with my security clearance because of soo many hidden factors that i have no idea i needed to have unless they tell you, AFTER you submit it.. And a week ago i got hired as an IT Consultant and will for sure start working on the 25th of august..
Anyone else have a similar experience?
I guess the security clearance issues were an blessing in disguise : )

You should contact your manager and see if there's anything you can do to get familiarized with their environment, political structure, products they use, etc.Good luck to all! -

empc4000xl Member Posts: 322welcome to the world of security clearances, but usually they can at least give you a "interm" until your clearance comes though, unless you will be working in a SCIF.
