Does anyone actually use the Windows Server 2003 Web Edition at work? Just a thought while reading through my 293 junk.

We have a couple somewhere in the datacentre, not heavily used though most of our solutions are standard or enterprise

Yes, but just on low end 'IIS only' web servers.

I wouldn't recommend using it myself unless you know you're just going to use IIS only going forward as it doesn't give you much in the way of flexibility down the road with regards to updating the hardware (RAM etc) and perhaps more importantly, installing other applications (most simply won't run under web edition). It was designed purely for IIS apps and web services and the like.

if you have 4GB RAM or more, as far as I know, W2k3 web ed. will not see/use it (only 2 or 3GB)

If you work here long enough, it's like BEING in a sitcom, minus the dodgy canned laughter.
