Equipment

Well, What can I say? I'm a bit cheap. I've borrowed all my books for the CCENT and now I'm borrowing equipment from work. Unfortunately all we have for spare equipment at work is as follows:
2 X 2612 routers
1 X Catalyst 3500 series switch

How much good will this do me for the CCENT? When I go for the ICND2 I plan on having more equipment to use.

You will be fine with this for the 1st exam. For the second i'd consider adding another router (possibly 2 if you want to practice frame) as well as another switch

    Will be fine for ccent.

for icnd2 get another router and at least one more switch, minimum of 2950, but preferably 2 extra switches i would say. Also get your hands on a frame relay too to practice the commands for FR

I'm studying for ICND2 and have two 2612 routers and three 2950 switches (also borrowed from work :D ). gojericho0 and nel suggested getting a different router and also mention frame relay practice. What sort of equipment are you talking about?

Frame relay can be done with a 2520 or one of these for you 2600s.
