BCMSN Tomorrow **EDIT:PASSED**
First of four ... I'm finally ready for this test I think. I've been studying for about 4months solid and I've used a ton of BCMSN resources:
Self-Study Guide cover to cover
CiscoPress Lab Portfolio
CBT Nuggets
Flash Cards from an old version of the test
PEC (Cisco's Partner Education Connection)
Bunch of labs from CCIE books / my own head
This forum and a few others
My lab is unreal and I've got 6 switches (4 of which do full L3) that I've been playing with. Hopefully I blow this test away, but this is my first Cisco test outside of the CCNA.
I'm a little nervous, but I can't wait for that feeling after you click accept and it takes a min ... then comes back with your results saying that you passed.

I'm pretty sure that number can change from each exam, plus I don't think that's something you should share. Why do you think that information isn't published by Cisco?Jack of all trades, master of none -

It stays the same, but it also isn't supposed to be released. I have been guilty of it though...Give a man fire and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. -

According to Cisco´s website. -
roswald Member Posts: 35 ■■□□□□□□□□I Passed! I didn't do as well as I wanted 892 .. but a pass is a pass.
I got schooled on some spanning tree questions that seemed a little over the top. 100% on 5 of the sections but 44% on STP. I know STP pretty well, but the questions I missed didn't really seem to test my understanding of the protocol. Oh well, one down!!!
Time to get a little celebrating in this weekend ... then back to the books for the BSCI! :P -

How did you feel the step up from the ccna to the bcmsn exam was in terms of difficulty? Would you recommend the lab portfolio you used aswell? How long did you study for the exam?
Sorry for all the Q's but if i land a network position at work i will prob have to switch across to this from the BSCI.

As far as actual difficulty I'd say it was close to the same. I probably didn't spend as much time on the bcmsn as I did for the CCNA, but it was taking the principles of switching and learning the topics much more in depth. I spent about 4months off and on preparing, usually a few hours a night, but I got a lot of experience from my job as well.
I wasn't really impressed with the lab portfolio. The config examples from Self-Study were pretty much the same, but the lab book showed the full IOS display and what to look for. I won't be buying the lab portfolio for the BSCI, because I think I'll be able to create my own labs based on some CCIE books and the self-study examples.
Thanks to all!
