"IT certifications such as CCIE, A+..."
'Hmm so you have your CCIE R&S but no A+? Sorry we can't use you'

We responded to the Year 2000 issue with "Y2K" solutions...isn't this the kind of thinking that got us into trouble in the first place?

LarryDaMan Member Posts: 797Funny, I live like 3 miles from there. They also threw CISSP and MCSE in there with the A+. It was no doubt an HR person or Headhunter/Recruiter who wrote that one.

techimaster Member Posts: 8 ■□□□□□□□□□Some of the job board postings are a real joke. I've seen many agents ask questions relating to .NET such as ASP .Net and C# .Net as if they're completely different technologies. I think most of them don't have a clue about IT technologies
Its worrying when these people are supposed to be the initial contact between you and the company.
Always best to do as much background work on the company instead of taking an agents word for it!Software Solutions

learningtofly22 Member Posts: 159Reminds me of when I applied for the job I have now. When I walked in to "pre-interview" while putting in my application, the HR guy said, "Look, I hire floorhands and roustabouts (the guys that do the real work on oil rigs, the ones you see working the pipe), I dont' know anything about satellites, computers, or communications. Let me get in touch with the telecommunications manager so he can interview you".
At least he was honest.
