in CCNA & CCENT
I failed my CCNA earlier this year I was doing the full exam 640-801
now, am I right in assuming I can break this down to 2 exams to make it easier on myself?
640-822 and 640-816? and then once both are achieved, I get the CCNA??
also,. when I studied in college it was for the 640-801 exam, this is now expired isnt it? can I still take this exam if I wanted too?
thanks

tiersten Member Posts: 4,505There are two routes to getting a CCNA. Doing one big combo test and doing two tests of which the first gives you CCENT as well.
640-802 = 1 exam and you get CCNA straight away.
640-822 + 640-816 = 2 exams. First exam will give you CCENT. Completing the second exam will give you CCNA.
The two exam method takes more time and money but it may be easier for you to study for and you do get an extra set of letters after your name if you want them.
Unless you're a part of the Cisco Net Academy then yes, you're now unable to do 640-801. People that did the old course can/could request a special voucher. -
