Do they take your picture at test center?

iwormsiworms Member Posts: 53 ■■□□□□□□□□
I read here that the new security measures include photo verification. When I went to the test center today they did not take my picture. The preliminary score report doesn't have a photo either.

If anyone took an exam after Aug. 1, 2008, did you get a photo taken? I wonder if this will hurt my credibility because people will expect new CCNA certifications to have photos.

For me the answer is yes before and after Aug 1st! I think the photo I took was just to identify me as the test taker and won't be on my certification although I could be wrong. The testing center I went to used a cheap webcam to take my photo. I can't imagine Cisco using that on my certification. I didn't know the new certification came with photo. Anyway don't know how this would hurt your credibility cause your name is on the certification unless you changed your name or your name is John Doe.

I didn't have my photo taken my last exam.

As far as I know they do not put your photo on the certificate unless that is something new....

Nope. I took mine yesterday, and security was super lax. Oh, that reminds me of a great story I forgot in my pass thread. Check it out.

Pearson is trying to have their centers to take photos and digital signatures.. I don't know if/how they will use that for certificates.

So far it is not a mandatory requirement for UK test centres to take photographs and digital signatures from exam candidates although some have implemented it.

The necessity to do so will soon come in to force.

The cheapy cameras referred to earlier are the Logitech Quickcam 9000 Pro that Pearson Vue require the test centres to buy from them at a vastly inflated price as well as the Interlink E signature pad.
These are the only devices that work properly with the testing software.

There is talk about have a central depository so that if a potential client/employer wanted to verify your certs, they could do so and see your photo as well. They hope this will cut down on the paying someone else to take your test that a lot of supposed "cert sites" offer.

That is exactly what is happening with the Cisco exams.

In future when all is up and running, your photograph will be printed on the score reports.
Employers will also be able to access a central database with your permission to view your transcript which will also contain your photograph.

Lets just hope mine looks better than my passports. icon_redface.gif
