problem launching sdm

i am getting the following error when trying to execute sdm " Startup Error
has not been granted with the necessary privileges in order to startup successfully, or another unknown error occurred during startup.Please close all involved browser windows and try again by granting all requested privileges."
what version of java are you guys running to get sdm to work. i have build 1.6.0_07-b06. anyway i saw an article on the web that running an earlier version will get it to work, so thats what i'm trying now.

I am running Version 6 update 5 build 1.6_05-b13 and can run the program with no problems.I don't claim to be an expert, but I sure would like to become one someday.

hmmm, ok thanks for your help. i am the admin and have admin rights on the cpu. it could be my pop-up blocker causing all the problems. i have i turned off but it is still acting like it is on. anyway, i'll try a few things. thanks again
