If that's what you have, I think you should just go with Boilermakers either way
Good luck! -

ScottyPLo Member Posts: 22 ■□□□□□□□□□I understand that COMPTIA wants to blend the new technology with the old and I have most of the new IEEE standards memorized but if I try to memorize all the old ones as well I fear my head may explode
I’ve got the OSI down like the back of my hand
I have most of the IEEE Still working on the old technologies
And I Got Hardware down it’s what I do for a living
I would day I’m familiar with the ports Not confident in my knowledge though
Thanks for the tip on the Novell I will go back over that chapter tonight.

mamono Member Posts: 776 ■■□□□□□□□□If you've studied, you'll be fine. Just relax and get plenty of sleep the night before. You want to be able to think clearly when taking the exam.

Zerubb Member Posts: 28 ■□□□□□□□□□I had a question about the MacXOS, kinda tooke me off guard. Don't stress as long as you have done the studying and memorized the things that you have to memorize you should do fine. I stressed over all the well-known ports and only had one question on my test regarding ports. Go figure.

TravR1 Member Posts: 332I got hit with CIDR and routing protocols... which of course my study guide said was beyond the scope of the exam, but they were there anyway. The areas that got me were those and wireless antennas. I was more nervous for the exam than I thought I would be.Austin Community College, certificate of completion: C++ Programming.

Psoasman Member Posts: 2,687 ■■■■■■■■■□I would brush up on wireless standards like 802.11 a,b,c. Know the ranges, speeds, things that can interfere.
Know the OSI model, Ethernet standards, Token Ring, TCP/IP, Novell standards, know what routers, switches, hubs, bridges do.
Brush up on network security and attacks against networks.
This is a basic networking course, so go with your gut feeling. -
