iplanet is the old version of JES, Java Enterprise messaging.
This product is from Sun Microsystems, it gives u web server, mail server, domain controller ...

it's an extremely stable platform, that once setup properly, you can completely forget about it ! it requires minimum administration and support.
It's very popular amongst ISPs, you will find most ISPs using it.
The only problem is the lack of expertise, it's not easy to find IPlanet/JES experts, because you don't see IPlanet/JES everywhere.
