Hey Guys,
At my work place, we have a check list to follow during an installation of a server.
It includes from setup settings to settings such as accessing anti virus over network and installing it and so on.
How do i automate this. I know there can be images or answer key files used but I am not sure if that applies to here.
Could you guys please assist me or help out here
thanks
RJ

1. Build one server the way you want it, include MS sysprep and unattended installation file to automate the process as much as possible. this will be your image template.
2. Use Acronis, Ghost or something similar to create image and store image/images on file server for network deployment.
3. Use Acronis, Ghost boot CD to load initial image and the unattended script file can automatically configure and add server to domain etc... after the server OS boots.
4. Use MS SMS to automate application install, you can configure it to automatically load applications like virus software ect... after the server joins domain.
This is just one way to do it. -
