Congratulations! Make sure you get that raise/review in writing though or they may accidentally forget it.

What happened since Monday? It might just take your boss a while to get you situated in your role. When I first started out I was bored to tears, but those days are distant memories.

    I wish that everyday......

Then I would have few more study hours instead of trying to study with screaming kids and a nagging wife :D

Heh, don't think of boring days as wasted. If you're doing menial tasks, just think of ways you can rise up through the company in the coming months to make it more interesting. If you're doing a whole lot of nothing, there's always cert-study. . . which, in turn, will lead to you rising in the company, (or finding bigger and better things down the road,) and you'll have much more fun at your job either way. :D

If only she read techexams.net .....don't worry, I would be screwed too!!!

Congrats..no one ever complained about more hands on experience and a raise..that's great. Hopefully it'll improve.

I also agree with the others..I pray each day will be a boring day. It never is. Oddly enough, when I was without all this work, I was going crazy because I was so bored.

Bottom line is, experience is experience. That's not bad for your second IT job.

Sounds like my new job. When I asked about the work environment to a coworker, he said that we don't have a supervisor around us, and we mainly supervise ourselves. I can also get loads of overtime at time and a half (I'm hourly). Additionally, it's a just-wear-bluejeans place.

    Lovely. :D
