any reason I shouldn't do the old exams?

I have loads of experience with the PIX/FWSM/VPN Concentrator/older IPS products but none with the ASA and newer IPS products. My employer also has the CBT Nuggets videos for SND, HIPS, etc.
Any reason why I shouldn't try to pass the SND (642-552) and HIPS (642-513) before they expire on November 17th?
Thanks!

However Cisco's website states any retired professional exam may be used towards a Certification for up to 3 years...so now I am confused..... -

They are only good for two years.
