Well I may take donations, not sure if that would be possible.
First I have a VMware ESXi server running 3 virtual machines.
Each virtual machine has a physical network card.
Virtual Machines.
1. Windows Server 2003 running Whatsup. Whatsup gives you really nice view of the the topology.
2. Host A Windows Server 2003. With this host, you can put it where ever you want as far a VLANs are concerned.
3. Host B, same as Host A.
Equipment
3 x 2950s.
1 x 1751 (1 fast ethernet, 1 ethernet, 2 x wic-1t)
2 x 2501s
1 x 3640 currently down
1 x Ubuntu Console Server (Yes, that is right, you will be able to SSH, with 3 different sessions and control up to 3 serial ports, connected to switches or routers.
Questions are:
1. Will I let people access my VMware server? I really like this idea, to give users maximum control over their own lab.
2. Will I let people connect using RDP? SSH?
3. What type of agreement will I have with users, I don't want people re-flashing my devices ect, etc.
4. User account creations. Windows Server Account, VMware Account, SSH account etc, etc.
I would also like to schedule people using some type of Wordpress plugging from my blog.
Any input is appreciated.
I will try to set it all up by this Weds.
