Question about Cisco Switches (3560 and 2960) (xpost)

cnfuzzdcnfuzzd Member Posts: 208
Hello All,

We have a client that has an mix of the switches listed above. When we open the web interface in an attempt to determine that usage of each switch, the monitoring part of the screen is non-responsive. There is no bandwidth tracking, etc etc etc. Is this something I need to enable from IOS? What limited cisco knowledge i had has long since been pushed out by the microsoft, and I don't think a reboot will work here. :D

Thanks!

John

    I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.

    Hokiest thing I have ever seen. I got curious once and looked. It honestly looks like something that was thrown together just to add to a feature list and wasn't made to be taken seriously.

    I guess then what I am really looking for is a way to monitor the bandwidth utilization of these switches. I know there is probably an IOS way to do it, and I am not afraid. What direction can you give me?

    thanks everyone for your help!
