Well, I guess that depends on what type of network you want to administer. I would recommend that once you are finished with your network +, you start working on you MCSA / MCSE...by the time you work your way through a few more tests, you will start to figure out exactly what type of network you want to work on....then start specializing from there...Hope this helps a little..

You're gonna need a lot more than A+ and Net+ to get a network admin job. Most of those types of jobs require an MCSE, a high-level Cisco cert like CCNP/CCIE, or one of the Novel certifications, *and* also experience.

You'll probably need to start out just trying to get a helpdesk, techsupport, or computer repair job. A+/Net+ should theoretically get you a low-rung IT job, but that's not always the case (as I'm finding out right now).

I agree with bighusker...you should look at a helpdesk or tech support type of job to start off with..or even take an internship if you can get one just to get your foot in the door.

After you pass the N+, you would only need 3 more credits for the MCSA so you might want to strongly consider finishing that off as well.

    good luck

This is a natural migration, then you can go for MCSE if required.

But, keep in mind, concentrate on security and wireless systems somewhere in the process.

    Best of luck!

I notice that Microsoft excepts the Security+ cert as an elective for an MCSE. I think that'd be a great cert to get when you're going for an MCSE, because it's another thing you can put on your resume. icon_wink.gif
