I heard that Virtual machine only works on vista bussines,enterprise or ultimate but not on home version. Can you confirm or deny it, please?

Are you talking about Virtual PC specifically or just virtualization in general? As long as your pc is powerful enough then you can run whatever virtualization you prefer such as virtualbox or vmware.

Vista Business, Ultimate, Enterprise were the only versions allowed to run within a virtual machine according to the EULA - I believe they have "corrected" that (there was a lot of backlash) and now all versions are okay.

Nonetheless it has no effect on your ability to run Windows XP or 2003 in a VM which is what you're looking at doing anyway.

I think you put this one in the wrong forums. You probably wanted either the Vista or virtualization sections.

According to Microsoft, Virtual PC is not supported on home editions of Windows XP or Vista:

If you were talking about Virtual Server, it doesn't look like the home editions are supported there either:

If you meant for VMware, those system requirements are available on the VMware website, sorted by product. As for Hyper-V, that is only available on Windows Server 2008. Figured I'd add those in there, but I'm pretty sure you were talking about Virtual PC or Virtual Server.
