In 2005, I passed the A+ Hardware 220-301 exam but never took the 220-302 exam to get certified. I see now that there are two new exams that are required the A+ ESSENTIALS and 220-602. I just wanted to know if it was possible to complete the A+ with 220-301/302 or do I now have to take the Essentials and 602 to get certified? I was not sure and couldn't get an answer on this if the exam was expired and not possible to take(the 220-302 that is). I don't mind taking the Essentials/602 exams to refresh my memory, just needed to know which route I have to take.

Do I have to take two of the 2006 exams to become certified?Answer If you have completed one of the two CompTIA A+ exams based on the 2003 objectives, you are strongly encouraged to complete the second exam based on those same objectives. If you do not complete your CompTIA A+ certification before the 2003 exams are phased out (beginning 1/1/2007), then you must fully earn your credential by passing two of the 2006 exams: CompTIA A+ Essentials (220-601) plus your choice of either 220-602, 220-603, 220-604.
