10baseT & 100baseTX

Is this true?
100 baseTx uses 2 pair of twisted wires, but actually has 8 single wires total?

How many wires does 10baseT use?

yeh but the exam cram2 and other resources saids different about the 100 base tx.....There is nothing abouth how many wires there are in 10base under the technote.

Actually, it does mention it for 10baseT:

4 wires = 2 pairs

Pretty much all of the 10/100 mbps ethernet standards use 2 pairs of wires. The only exception I can think of is 10Base4, which uses 4 pairs (8 wires total). I don't think 10Base4 is used much, if at all.
