IT'S OVER 9000!!!!! (New CCNP)
So I took the ONT today.. and passed! The test was a bit harder than I anticipated but was still probably one of the easier tests for me. The ISCW was probably the most fun for me (with the BSCI coming in 2nd).
Materials Used:
Labs (sorta...)
Cisco Press Exam Cert Guide (This one was acutally well written)
www.packetlife.net (Stretch ROOOLZ!)
CBT Nuggets (Jeremy also ROOOOLZ!!)
Chris Bryant Ultimate Study Guide & Practice Exam (The practice exam was a bit weak and incorrect, but the study guides were solid) - well worth the $57
Cisco Documentation in regards to Int/DiffServ QoS
Forgotten Link that had a great article on Bandwidth percent vs bandwidth remaining percent.
My testing center finally started to implement the Photo and the signature pad, but the sig pad was broke.
I spent quite a long time pursuing the CCNP.. and now im at a loss of what I want to do.. I really enjoyed QoS and was considering getting the CCIP for the fact i really enjoy MPLS & BGP as well. I'm also considering the CCDA/CCDP .. and of course the CCIE is a goal for me too, but its going to be a while before I'm anywhere close to that level of knowledge.

Do you have aspirations in the ISP direction? Might CCSP be a more viable option for actual work possibilities and/or advancement?
And hey, what's the significance of 9000?There are only 10 kinds of people... those who understand binary, and those that don't.

I have acutally considered looking into a lot of the directions.. but still unsure where i want to go. The CCSP interest me the most, but it is quite a few more tests The CCIP interests me almost as much as the CCSP and the CCDA/CCDP interest me for the concepts.. but im cared that Cisco's Design principles may not be of much value in mult-vendor stuff> I've also considered the jncia-er and the jncia-m because from what little of JunOS ive used, it's sexy.. periodCCIE - COMPLETED! -

ITdude Member Posts: 1,181 ■■■□□□□□□□Congrats man and good going. Is 9000 your score? Pretty respectable!I usually hang out on 224.0.0.10 (FF02::A) and 224.0.0.5 (FF02::5) when I'm in a non-proprietary mood.

The IE is definatly on my list as the top of the mountain.. but i realize that I'm no where close to be ready for it.. so I figure ill hit many things and build up to that.. then ill start doing that. The written doesn't scare me, the lab does (and the costs). Who knows though..CCIE - COMPLETED! -

Good luck in your future endeavors! Go CCIP so I can have someone to ask questions while I tackle QoS/BGP/MPLS.policy-map type inspect TACO
class type inspect BELL

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModCongrats on the pass, and the Super-Saiyan status of CCNP.
Good luck, whichever path you choose. I'd imagine that CCIP would be the most natural transition, since you've recently touched on a lot of those topics, but the other Cisco-paths, like CCSP and CCDP, look interesting too. Can't say too much about the Juniper-path, the closest I've ever gotten to managing a Juniper device was checking the settings on a NetScreen-5GT before taking it offline and replacing it with a SonicWall 170.
