Is MCSA in a nutshell good for the exam?

It could be a good introduction or review, but I wouldn't rely on it exclusively.

That book is probably a good second reference, but not to be used as your primary study guide for any of the exams. Pick up the
MS Press
or
Sybex
books that correspond with the exams you're taking, and use the In a Nutshell book to complement those.

It is a good book. Coverage of the 290 is best and coverage of the 291 is probably worst. I highly recommend it as a final exam prep. If you get the MS Press books use the test prep software they come with in conjunction with this book during the week before your test. I wrote a review for it on Amazon, gave a bit more detail on what I thought.
