Hi! all. this is my first topic post.
I was just browsing my local craigslist ads and found an ad for a Cisco Kit for $550 Canadian.
I believe it is a very good deal. Can you guys please pitch in your thoughts on this deal. Here are the details.
10 Cisco Routers CCNA/CCNP Kit
1 x 2511 Terminal Server 16MB Flash/16MB DRAM 2 Serial + 1Ethernet AUI Port and 16 Async Ports

I'd price them out on eBay individually and see what you come up with. The only real highlights of the collection are the 2511 and 2521. You're not going to get much out of that 2900 XL. You'll want 2950s or 2960s for your switches. You probably have $100-150 in those cables, AUIs, etc. alone, but if you're not going to use all that (i.e. brackets would be a waste if you're not using a rack), you're just paying for things you won't use. Also, it looks like that 2521 needs a memory upgrade as well.
I wouldn't call it a very good deal. You're probably going to pay a little more than what you would if you bought everything individually, but convenience/time is also worth something as well. -

2500's are outdated if you ever plan on going for the ccnp, you need 2600's as a minimum. -

Well, I heard what you guys are saying and have forgotten about that package now.
Upon some more digging through craigslist i have found a lot of other deals.
I just bought a catalyst 2950 24 port switch for $100.00. think it was an ok and fair deal. There is no external damage and all ports are working. I am looking to buy a couple of routers and one more switch soon. And the cables ofcourse.
