Hi,
I am just wondering if I am missing anything regarding the Lab on the CD with the book, XP professional training kit 270.
what do we do in the Lab and how useful it is? when i try to access it I find two files, 270template.inf and RebeccaSystem.evt which i cannot open? do i need to install a software to read those files?
can anyone please clarify

Unfortnately I no longer have this book and studied for this exam a long time ago. These files will certainly be used in a lab in the book. I suggest you leave them alone until you get to that chapter. evt is the extension used to save from the event log. You should be able to view it using event viewer.
