ok guys ive just installed a 3750 G switch in for layer 3 routing
i can ping and conect via the intermediate address ok...
but the management ip address (Vlan 1) is showing as line up protocol down...
ive done the usual no shut etc but no joy...
now ive been doing a bit of googling and it appears i need to have a host plugged in before the vlan will come up....
is this normal ?? ive not come across it before....... so want to confirm thats the case before I go to the site and test this....
cheers

if I say something that can be taken one of two ways and one of them offends, I usually mean the other one :-)
