TO THOSE MPLS GUYS IMPLICIT AND EXPLICIT NULL
Hello, I am new to MPLS and I am very interested with this technology.
I am reading the mpls fundamentals and right now I'm in chapter 3
Just want to know how can the egress LSR knows that it needs to send signal value 1 or 3 ?
As mentioned on the book implict null is use to pop and send one label less so that egress LSR No need for LFIB look up. Since there is a downside using implicit due to EXP bit is also remove.
Explicit null is needed.
My question is how can egress LSR knows which value to send?
And a quick short help why it is not recommendable to copy the EXP bit to the new EXP top label?
Sorry for the quick question since It is mentioned read chapter 10 mpls and qos.
I am reading this for my ISCW though I feel this is too much for the ISCW.
Thanks
